Genealogy

Interest in genealogy is booming!  On the internet, genealogy research sites are among the most popular.  Before internet access became available, family research was based primarily on information found in family Bibles, family stories, birth and death notices in newspapers, church and cemetery records and the U.S. Census. Now that internet genealogy resources are available to anyone, either through a home computer or at libraries across the country, research has become easier and more thorough than ever before.   You can now go to the Ellis Island website and, in some cases, get a copy of the ship register showing your relative’s information upon their arrival to the United States.  I was able to find my husband’s grandfather’s information on the ship register when he arrived in 1909 from Ireland.  It even listed his height, hair color and how much money he had upon arriving at
Ellis Island! (See links below)

Isn’t it only natural that after all of your hours of researching, charting, and writing your family’s genealogical history you would want to share it with your family members as well as preserve it for future generations?  By using the techniques taught in Family History DVD, you can scan photos and actual documents such as newspaper clippings or pages from family bibles, add your voice or someone else’s telling stories, add music, create a menu and then record the stories on DVDs for everyone in your family to enjoy and pass down to future generations.  The process is fun and, with the very simple instructions found in Family History DVD, easy to do.  Don’t wait – start preserving your family history NOW!
